The year 2009 will be a major milestone in the history of the Faculty. We commemorate a rich legacy of 80 years of dental education and service with celebratory activities and events that engage the dental alumni, students, staff, friends of the Faculty and the public starting on the 27 February 2009 and ending with a grand finale the Gala Dinner to be held in Shangri-La Hotel on the 7 Nov 2009.

'Empowering the Future of Dentistry' - the theme of the Celebrations has a timeless quality that reflects and characterises the continuing role the Faculty plays in educating the future generations of dentists. In fulfilling this role, the Faculty is also mindful of the students in need of financial support to succeed. There is therefore no better time at this major milestone of the Faculty to empower and contribute to the future success of our students through the FOD 80th Anniversary Bursary Fund.
