Attendees will be able to use the concepts of rational treatment planning and incorporate them into Geriatric MID, and provide a systematic approach for the management of their older patients. Clinical cases will be used to illustrate these Geriatric MID concepts.

This presentation describes the ageing patient and their prosthodontic needs.  It discusses the indications for prescribing a removable partial denture and the principals in designing such as prosthesis for an ageing patient.  The issues of patients who have denture intolerance and what can be done about it are also discussed.
