Long Service to the Faculty

The faculty is truly blessed to be served by two very faithful and loyal employees. They are Mr Sukaimi bin Harun and Mr Lim Eng Bok. Both served a record of 54 years, probably the longest serving staff in the University!

Mr Sukaimi bin Harun

Mr Sukaimi bin Harun aged 70 years old retired on 31 May 2001 after 54 years of service to the Faculty of Dentistry as a laboratory attendant (Operations Support Officer). It is truly a long service which was recognized with a merit award given during the Faculty Award Day in August this year.

He is a widower with 3 children. After his retirement, he spends his time traveling and pursuing his passion….. fishing.

"Pakcik" as he is fondly called will truly be missed by his colleagues as he is a very friendly, helpful and initiative person.

Mr Lim Eng Bok

Mr Lim Eng Bok aged 70 years old retired on 30th September 2001 after 54 years of service to the Faculty of Dentistry as a laboratory attendant (Operations Support Officer). He was awarded a Performance Award for his valuable and tireless contribution to the Faculty during the Faculty Award Day in August this year.

He is a widower with 10 grown up children and 19 grandchildren. After his retirement, he spends his time overseeing his children's businesses. A truly good father!

"Ah Bok" as he is fondly called will truly be missed as he is well liked by students and staff alike.

Here, the faculty wishes both of them a "Happy Retirement"!
