Oral Biology

The course will extend for one month of Year 1 in the 2nd semester. The course will integrate both oral physiology and biochemistry. It will cover the physiology and biochemistry of saliva, dental plaque, fluoride and mineralisation. The physiology of taste, mastication and deglutition will also be included.

Examination: This subject will be examined both in the physiology and biochemistry papers in the 1st Professional Examination.
