Pedodontics

The course in pedodontics will consist of lectures, laboratory techniques and clinical demonstrations during the third and fourth years. The treatment of child patients will be carried out during the fourth year. Syllabus: Child behaviour and management, occlusion and space maintenance, cavity preparations for primary and young permanent teeth, pulp management, preventive measures related to pedodontics, patient-parent health education, diseases and development syndromes related to pedodontics.

Clinical competencies of adequate standard must be completed before a candidate can sit for the Final Professional Examination.

Examination: Questions on pedodontics will be included in a three-hour paper known as Preventive Dentistry II.
