In support of the national challenge of establishing Singapore as a biomedical research hub with a mission-driven research enterprise to improve oral and craniofacial health, The Faculty of Dentistry has recently established the Cranio-facial Clinical Research Unit (CCRU) to co-ordinate and facilitate the collaboration between clinicians and basic scientists.

CCRU is seeking to fill a position for Research Assistant for it’s newly established Fluoride Laboratory. Successful candidate will become a member of this dynamic research initiative and will be located in the DSO research facility of the FOD.

The responsibilities include the following:

  • Adhere to NUS and regulatory laboratory and safety programmes.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments utilising of range chromatographic, distillation, separation and spectroscopic techniques.
  • Ensure that laboratory equipment are calibrated and maintained.
  • Keep accurate, legible and complete records of all experiments and observations

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree with a major in Chemistry or other relevant science majors
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Proactive and a team player 
  • Familiarity with standard lab equipments
  • Ability to find and leverage scientific literature
