The Faculty of Dentistry had its early beginnings in 1929 as the first Dental School in the Far East set up by British Government. Since its inception it has undergone many changes first as a dental department within  the King Edward VII College of Medicine and later to obtain full Faculty status in 1966. The school has produced hundreds of well trained and competent graduates providing essential dental services to the people in this part of the world and beyond. Many of the school alumni are residing in major cities of the world. Currently located at the National University Hospital campus at Kent Ridge, it has the latest modern facilities to train dental surgeons for the future. The faculty is rightly committed to the development of scientifically orientated, technically capable and socially sensitive dental practitioners.
