Programme Director


Associate Professor Yu Soo Hoon, Victoria

Dr Victoria Yu is currently an Associate Professor in Endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore. She holds the position of Programme Director of the Graduate Endodontics programme. She graduated in 1991 with BDS from NUS and obtained her MSc in Endodontics in 1995 with Distinction from the University of London, United Kingdom, and was awarded her PhD in 2015 from NUS. She is very active in research in the area of endodontics, and her research interests are Clinical studies, Microbiology and Dental materials.


Associate Programme Director

Dr Chan Pei Yuan

Dr Chan Pei Yuan obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at National University of Singapore in 2009. She further obtained her Master in Dental Surgery (Endodontics) at the National University of Singapore and Membership in Endodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2014. She was accredited as a Specialist in Endodontics by the Singapore Dental Council in 2017 and was conferred a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2018.

Dr Chan is currently a Consultant with the Department of Restorative Dentistry, National Dental Centre Singapore. She is actively involved in postgraduate education and currently holds the position of Associate Programme Director of the Endodontic Postgraduate Residency Training Programme. She received the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Clinical Programme Educational Programme Support Grant in 2020 to enhance the surgical training for the Endodontic residency programme. She has also spearheaded various interdisciplinary Team-based learning workshops to foster collaboration between different dental disciplines. Her research interests include endodontic treatment outcomes, cracked teeth, and access to dental care.

She currently serves as the chairperson of the Chapter of Endodontists, College of Dental Surgeons Singapore, Academy of Medicine Singapore, and is also the Head, Primary and Community Partnership in NDCS. She strongly champions for the improvement of oral health in the population through partnership with primary care and community outreach programmes.
