Strengthening Academic Bonds: NUS Dentistry and Universitas Airlangga’s Faculty of Dental Medicine Sign Memorandum of Understanding.
In a significant step towards fostering international collaboration and academic excellence, the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Dentistry (NUS Dentistry) and Universitas Airlangga’s Faculty of Dental Medicine have officially inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 21 November 2023 in Singapore. The signing ceremony marked a pivotal moment in the on-going collaborative efforts between the two institutions.

Following the signing of the MOU, the Dean of Universitas Airlangga’s Faculty of Dental Medicine, Professor Muhammad Luthfi expressed his gratitude to the faculty for arranging the meeting, emphasising the milestone nature of the occasion. In his speech, the Dean acknowledged the efforts that led to the realisation of this partnership and highlighted the endless possibilities that can emerge from the collaboration. According to the Prof Luthfi, the signing of the MOU symbolises the commencement of a new era of initiatives in academic and community services. He expressed enthusiasm for the prospective synergies that will arise and looked forward to a close working relationship between the two universities.
The Dean of NUS Dentistry, Professor Chris Peck conveyed his pride in being part of this significant occasion. He underscored the significance of the MOU, drawing attention to the knowledge that it was built upon existing collaborations between the two institutions. Prof Peck stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen such partnerships in the region. Prof Peck emphasised the core focus remains in providing clinical care and education, with a vision to positively impact the health and well-being especially in the region in the decades to come.
The commitment to nurturing relationships between the two institutions was further symbolised as both Deans exchanged meaningful mementos after their respective speeches.
