Research interests
My research focuses on understanding the mechanisms for degeneration, and developing strategies for regeneration, of tissues of the musculoskeletal system. We recently found that exosomes underpin the therapeutic efficacy of mesenchymal stem cells in joint repair. We aim to define the mechanism of action and to lay the necessary framework to advance this promising cell-free therapy to the clinics.
