The Faculty held its 85th Anniversary Gala Dinner on 30 August 2014 at the Pan Pacific Hotel. This was the culmination of its 85thAnniversary celebrations in 2014. We had organized an Oral Health Screening on 22 March and a combined 85th Anniversary Resilience Run on 29 March with Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Faculty of Science.
We were honoured by the presence of Mr and Mrs Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Education as the Dinner’s Guest-of-Honour.
The Gala Dinner was an excellent opportunity for staff, students and Alumni to gather, reminiscence and celebrate the Faculty’s 85 years of achievement

We were treated to two brilliant performances with a Sandart presentation by Mr Lawrence Koh followed by an acapella item by the Matrix Band which comprised 5 students from Year 3.
The Dinner was also an opportunity for alumni to extend their generosity to the Faculty. Members of the Class of ’85 have collectively donated a total of $102,000 towards the Faculty Development Fund for the Centre for Oral Health building. The Faculty reciprocated by presenting to the Class a specially commissioned oil painting of the College of Medicine Building painted by Mr Ong Kim Seng. The Class extended their generosity by returning the painting to the Faculty for display at the forthcoming Centre for Oral Health (COH).
The Faculty would like to thank all its distinguished guests, alumni, students and friends for who supported us in our anniversary celebrations. The support made our 85th Anniversary celebrations in 2014 a tremendous success.
