"I am truly humbled and incredibly honoured to receive the prestigious IADR Kulzer Travel Award 2023. Winning the award has affirmed the value of my research and the countless hours of hard work invested into it. My research focuses on examining the application of a boron-containing coating on an ultra-translucent zirconia, which presents mechanically enhanced behaviours and antimicrobial properties, while being cytocompatible. I hope that through my research, we can make significant strides towards impacting oral health clinically by enhancing the longevity of dental restorations and reducing the risk of oral infections," shared Ms Clarice Sabino, an exchange student from São Paulo State University, Brazil.

“I am privileged to receive the prestigious IADR Kulzer Travel Award 2023. Winning an IADR award is a profound experience. It reflects my personal achievement as well as validation from peers and experts in the field. My research focuses on developing a hydrogel that can be used as a scaffold for tissue regeneration and with properties which can be customised depending on the application. Through my study, I hope we can significantly contribute to the field of tissue engineering by offering a sustainable alternative and overcoming the limitations of currently available grafts used for regeneration,” said Mr Mishra Apurva, a PhD student at the NUS Faculty of Dentistry.
