The Prosthodontic team from Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore, was recently featured in Lianhe Zaobao, one of Singapore’s mainstream Chinese news media, for developing a streamlined protocol for digital dentures.
Lianhe Zaobao recently featured Dr Eunice Lua, Dr Frank Lee, Dr Christopher Quek and Mr Joseph Xu, harnessing digital technology to mill out the first dual-coloured monolithic dentures in Singapore for a patient. This protocol serves to augment delivery of clinical service to patients, particularly the geriatric population. Advantages that benefit this group, include fewer visits, denser materials and stored digital designs allowing for convenient replacement of lost/broken dentures.
With this success, the team is already further exploring the use of digital technology to enhance and improve restorative dental procedures for the benefit of patients and clinicians.
