The Faculty of Dentistry is honoured to host the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Mr Chan Heng Chee, to a visit to the Faculty on 10 Feb 17. Mr Chan and the MOH delegation met the Faculty’s Board members and toured the teaching and clinical facilities at the Faculty. He was also updated on the curriculum development of undergraduates and post graduate programmes. Mr Chan was appreciative of the informative visit and remarked that the thrust of Faculty’s teaching was aligned with the general population and health landscape, and this was a critical prerequisite given that FOD is the only dental school in Singapore. As the visit took place over the Chinese New Year period, the FOD’s Dean and Mr Chan exchanged mandarin oranges to symbolise prosperity and success for both entities.
