This year, the Faculty of Dentistry (FOD) sent a large delegation to Taipei, Taiwan to participate in the 2017 International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and South East Asia Association for Dental Education (SEAADE) Annual Scientific Meeting. Numerous speakers and presenters from the Faculty participated in the sharing of dental expertise with the audience alongside fellow dental educators from around the region.

At the event, A/Prof Kelvin Foong received the Distinguished Service Award from the IADR-SEA Division at the Division Meeting - a recognition for his commitment to excellence in carrying out the administrative responsibilities and his leadership in the development of research capabilities of junior faculty and students from the developing countries in Southeast Asia. Congratulations A/Prof Foong!

Additionally we walked away with some of the most prestigious awards at the scientific meeting. Several of our undergraduate and postgraduate students also won research awards at the research competition. All in all, this has been one of the Faculty's best showings at an international dental meeting. We look forward to scaling even greater heights in the future.
