Every year, the NUS family comes together to provide a day of service to the public with the aim of fostering a stronger community spirit within the university. This year, the Faculty of Dentistry (FOD) planned an outreach exercise to benefit the cleaners working on campus. Organised by the FOD Alumni Committee, more than 50 alumni and students took time out of their busy Saturday schedules to provide oral health screening and education to the unsung heroes who keep our surrounding environment clean and pleasant. There were also informative games and goodie bags filled with dental supplies given out after the screening to our guests and hopefully put a smile on their faces.
