PhD candidate Muniraj Giridharan won the IADR DASCR Septodont Young Investigator Prize for Innovation for his project presentation titled ‘Multi-Chambered, Microfluidic Oral Mucosa-on-a-Chip for In-Vitro Evaluation of Lidocaine Permeation’ This project was supervised by Dr. Gopu Sriram; and presented virtually at the IADR/AADR/CADR General Session, Washington DC, USA.

Dr. Tada Sayaka wins the 2020 IADR GORG Post-doctoral Award for the project presentation titled “Patients’ Economic Preference For Different Treatment Strategies for Edentulous Mandible”.

Sathya Kannan, a PhD candidate supervised by A/P Cao Tong and Dr. Gopu Sriram bags 2 awards at the 2020 ISSCR Annual Meeting, Boston, USA. She was awarded the ISSCR Zhong Mei Chen Yong Awards for Scientific Excellence and ISSCR Abstract Merit Award for her project presentation titled ‘Potential of hESC-derived Peripheral Sensory Neurons in Generating Innervated Human Skin Equivalents’.

Undergraduate students Loh Jin Wei Wong Jun Ming, Charmaine Kho Ling Wei, Chow Dian Yi from the Faculty of Dentistry were awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher (OUR) Prize for their work on the project titled “Evaluating the Effectiveness of two Diagnostic Aids (ORAD DDx and Radiographic Atlas) for the Interpretation of Oral Radiographic Lesions”. This project was supervised by Dr. Lim Li Zhen and A/P. Kelvin Foong.

Dr. Tada Sayaka has been appointed as one of the Associate Editors for the Journal of Prosthodontic Research, which originated as an official journal of Japan Prosthodontic Society. The Journal covers all diagnostic and clinical management aspects necessary to re-establish subjective and objective harmonious oral aesthetics and function.

A/P. Vinicius Rosa has been appointed to as one of the Associate Editors for the Journal of Prosthodontics.  The Journal of Prosthodontics is the official journal of the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association-recognized voice of the Specialty of Prosthodontics.
