NUS Dentistry is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Assistant Professors Wong Kuan Yee and Yong Chee Weng, who were honoured with the National University Health System (NUHS) Teaching Excellence Award at the NUHS Educators’ Day 2026 on 7 October.

The NUHS Teaching Excellence Award recognises educators who demonstrate exceptional commitment to teaching and learning while embodying NUHS’ core values of Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, and Patient-Centredness.

The award bears testament to their dedication to nurturing the next generation of dental professionals and to creating meaningful learning experiences for students. Through their teaching, mentorship, and commitment to educational excellence, the recipients exemplify the values and spirit of educators who inspire beyond the classroom.

At NUS Dentistry, education is central to our mission of developing competent, compassionate, and future-ready oral healthcare professionals. Our educators play a vital role in shaping not only students’ clinical knowledge and skills but also their professional values and commitment to patient-centred care.

We warmly congratulate Asst Profs Wong Kuan Yee and Yong Chee Weng on this well-deserved recognition. Their achievement reflects the strength of our teaching community and the collective commitment of NUS Dentistry to excellence in education.
