Human–Food Interaction through the Mouth: Integrating Oral and Food Sciences

Singapore is expected to become a super‐aged society by 2030, increasing the need for geriatric dentistry. Interest in oral frailty is rising, while the oral cavity - as the entry to the digestive system - offers a unique link between oral function, food properties, and nutrition. In Japan, dentists help determine appropriate food textures and participate in decisions about nutrition routes, including whether oral intake is feasible or whether alternative enteral feeding routes - such as gastrostomy feeding or nasogastric feeding - are required.

Flap Design and Suturing Workshop

Although oral and dental surgery has been proven to be effective and predictable, several factors influence the success of the treatment outcomes. These include basic requirements, such as incision techniques, flap design and suturing practices.

Call for Abstracts: Scientific Competition

We are excited to announce the Call for Abstracts for the Scientific Competition, a highlight of the NUS Dentistry Graduate Symposium held alongside the inaugural NUS Dentistry-NUCOHS Clinical Dentistry and Research Symposium (CDARS). This competition provides an excellent platform for graduate students to showcase their original research in dentistry, foster scientific exchange, and compete for awards recognising outstanding presentations.
