Overview

The Centre for Advanced Dental Education (CADE) was established in 2006, before compulsory Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programme was mandated by the Singapore Dental Council from 2007 and enacted by the Dental Registration Act in 2008. It is one of the Faculty’s strategic initiatives that aims to raise its profile through providing quality continuing dental education locally and regionally. This is in line with the government’s vision for Singapore to be a regional medical hub which includes dental services.

As a leader in continuing dental education then and now, CADE has forged a strong identity through two Graduate Diploma programmes in Dental Implantology and Geriatric Dentistry, SkillsFuture Singapore(SSG) funded courses. We are also partnering three other prestigious dental schools namely King’s College London, University of North Carolina and The University of Melbourne under DentAlliance to bring world-leading expertise to enhance professional practice in dentistry.

We hope to tailor workshops, courses and programmes with you in mind, so that they are relevant to your practice and we look to receiving your feedback.

Let us work together towards good oral health for our patients by improving dental care through continuing education.

As CADE continues to evolve in its 17th year, our commitment to lifelong learning remains unwavering. The landscape of dentistry is constantly advancing, and we strive to ensure that dental professionals have access to high-quality, practice-relevant education that enhances both clinical expertise and patient care.

Our Graduate Diploma programmes, including the Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology and the Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Dentistry, exemplify our dedication to structured, skills-based training that addresses both professional development and national healthcare needs. Beyond these flagship offerings, our continuing education initiatives – ranging from DentAlliance CPD programmes to SkillsFuture Singapore-funded courses – ensure that learning remains accessible and relevant across all stages of a dental professional’s career.

Our collaborative efforts, including international partnerships, online learning, and hands-on workshops, reflect our commitment to shaping the future of dental education in Singapore and beyond. The pages that follow detail the many opportunities available through CADE, each designed with the practising clinician in mind. We invite you to explore how our programmes can support your professional journey, and we look forward to being a part of your lifelong learning experience.
