On 2 July 2026, NUS Dentistry partnered with Solventum and MINDS (formerly known as Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore) for a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event that brought together industry leaders, faculty members, volunteers and MINDS clients for a day of learning, interaction and community engagement.

The day began with a welcome and networking session, followed by a tour of NUS Dentistry’s clinical facilities, simulation laboratories and auditorium. Led by Associate Professor Raymond Wong and Associate Professor Wong Mun Loke, the tours provided Solventum’s dental business leaders with an overview of the Faculty’s education and clinical training environment.

Following safety briefings by both NUS Dentistry and MINDS, the event officially commenced with welcome addresses from representatives of the three organisations, underscoring their shared commitment to promoting inclusion, partnership and community well-being. Tokens of appreciation were exchanged in recognition of the collaboration.

MINDS clients were then paired with Solventum volunteers and leaders for an icebreaker session before participating in an engaging oral health education programme conducted by Associate Professor Wong Mun Loke and Dr Gabriel Lee. The interactive sessions were complemented by a creative activity, where MINDS clients painted and decorated tooth models and footballs, encouraging teamwork while reinforcing the importance of good oral health habits. The activity created many heartwarming moments as Solventum volunteers and MINDS clients shared laughter, conversations and creativity, demonstrating how simple acts of kindness and connection can make a meaningful difference.

The event concluded with a wrap-up session and group photographs, celebrating a successful partnership that fostered meaningful connections, learning and smiles. NUS Dentistry is grateful to Solventum and MINDS for their collaboration and looks forward to future opportunities to make a positive impact together.

“At Solventum, one of our core values is to live with heart, and this event brought that value to life in the most inspiring way. Through the collaboration with NUS Dentistry and MINDS, we shared not only oral health education but also laughter, connection and unforgettable experiences with MINDS clients. Seeing smiles light up throughout the event was a powerful reminder that meaningful impact begins with compassion, and it left all of us with hearts fuller than ever.” – Hui Min Koh, vice president, Dental Solutions, APAC at Solventum.

“This event embraced inclusivity at its finest. NUS showcased brilliant hospitality to our MINDS clients’ needs by ensuring that the venue and logistics especially the chairs were conducive and person-centric. Everyone was eager to learn how to engage PWIDs through the painting activity and our clients enjoyed every meaningful social interaction especially with individuals from different nationalities. It was a win for inclusivity indeed!” – Jeremy Ho, Senior Manager, Outreach & Engagement West Cluster, MINDS
